About The Medical Center at Franklin
Since 2000, The Medical Center at Franklin has changed the landscape of healthcare throughout Simpson County. From the introduction of physician specialty clinics to the addition of state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services, The Medical Center at Franklin has put area residents in touch with the resources to keep them close to home for their healthcare. The hospital has made tremendous investments into physical upgrades to the facility. A $5 million expansion project that included a new 25-bed patient care wing was completed in 2007. In 2010, construction of a two-story medical office building was completed that connects to The Medical Center at Franklin and houses several hospital services including the laboratory, rehabilitation services and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation as well as three physician offices. In August 2011, a $4 million surgery expansion was completed that includes two operating suites, an endoscopy suite, a six-bed recovery unit and other surgical support services.
About Franklin and Southcentral Kentucky
Franklin is located in scenic Simpson County with a county population of 16,000, drawing from adjoining counties in Kentucky and Tennessee.
